A few years ago, Bohdan and Maria Zabrodotsky had no idea that they would combine their lives with farming. They kept 2 cows, and when Maria became interested in cheese making, 2 cows were not enough. They have created a family farm and keep 15 cows, which they look after carefully as if they were children.
The couple is raising 3 children: Sofia - 9 years old, Matvii - 6 years old, and Taisa - 3 years old. Often, farmers do not have enough hours in the day to do all the planned work. They often have to work late into the night. However, they have the main thing - a common desire to develop their own farm.
Maria combines work on the farm with cheese making, and her husband likes to work with machinery. Bohdan dreams of having all the necessary equipment on the farm, but in war conditions, it is incredibly difficult to save money for its purchase: expenses have increased, and incomes have remained the same.
Why do they need a fertilizer manure spreader:
- it will significantly reduce manual labor because the family cultivates 20 hectares of land;
- the equipment will allow them to spread bio-fertilizer from the farm, instead of buying mineral fertilizers, which have significantly increased in price recently;
- organic fertilizers are organic fodder, as a result, organic milk.

While the cows graze on fresh grass, Maria prepares products, cleans, and grows crops, while her husband Bohdan repairs equipment and helps Maria. Farmers are waiting for warm weather, will sow 5 hectares of corn, seeds were bought at the beginning of spring and already sown 2.5 hectares with alfalfa seeds.
Maria took part in a master class on cheese making as part of the project “Stimulating the development of cheese making among micro and small milk producers”, which was held at the cheese factory of Roman Khayetsky, Kyiv. The farmer got answers to all her questions, and also learned a lot of new things and now plans to expand the range of craft cheeses produced on her farm from her own farm milk.

On January 22, a new resident was born on the farm “Milk Khutir” – a bull named Simens with the lucky number seven on his head. He was born with this label. Now the family of farmers takes care of him as diligently as a small child.
